Gettin' Things Done!

Posted Dec 19, 2005 by static

I did it! I finally completed one of the goals on my 43 Things list by exhibiting my photography. Keep in mind I don't use that list in quite the hardcore way that I know some people do. My list is more a compilation of things I'd like to do rather than a must-do-and-will-take-any-measures-to-get-there type of way. But exhibiting my photography was on that list, nonetheless.

It's been a concern, of sorts, since starting this business that photography would become simply a job to me. That I would lose the passion for it because it's become work - not fun, but I am so happy to report that this is NOT the case at all. In fact, quite the opposite. My passion has grown for photography through working with different people, collaborating on ideas for shoots and seeing those come to fruition.

It has also motivated me to keep up my passion for shooting the world as I see it and having a goal for this - putting together a collection of my photos to show- was incredibly rewarding.

A huge thanks to everyone who came out to support me. My insanely (ha!) awesome husband, my business partner and friend - Kris, my familly (you truly are!) from Vintage, the REAL artists (and by that I mean the gallery showing kind) - Brandon Thiessen and David Carter, the Bryght Boys who made stopping by part of their Christmas party day, the Vandigicammers, and all my other super-cool friends who made it out! (you know who you are!!!!)
Also, a special thanks to WIcked Cafe and Brad especially for organinzing this and allowing my work to be up.

My stuff will be up until mid-january so if you weren't able to make it out to the opening you still have time to stop by. I'd also love to hear your thoughts on it so feel free to leave comments here!

Cheers!

I had a great time, good job.
