TED took Vancouver by storm when the firt ever TEDx Vancouver was organized and held on Saturday November 21st at EA Video Games in Burnaby. This one day conference was full of speakers, videos of TED talks and musicians that followed the main idea of 'Ideas Worth Spreading'. TED is a series of conferences that are centrally focused on technology, enterainment and design. Held all over the world, TED is often synonymous with inspiring ideas, motivating ancedotes and informational sessions that propel the audience into the future. TEDx was designed as a platform for individual cities to hold TEDx sponsored conferences in the same format as the larger global conferences. All of the TED conference talks are on video for viewing at TED.com and each of the TEDx conferences has the possibility to have some of their talks hosted at TED.com as well. There have been thousands of TEDx conferences all over the world, including this one in Vancouver. Static Photography was present all day, capturing the event on camera as well as the speaker sessions. Kris Krüg has been at three TEDx events: TEDx Shanghai where he was one of the speakers , TEDx Honolulu which was part of Rethink: Hawaii and finally TEDx Vancouver.The speaker lineup for TEDx Vancouver was curated by the Forever Young theme. The day was split into three sessions of  Globally Young, Mentally Young and Physically Young. Each of the sessions was punctuated with videos of TED talks and live music. The speakers line-up included Kevin Carroll , Neill Blomkump , Cheryl Cran , Guy Dauncey , Alden E. Habacon , Henry Labounta , Terry McBride , Partick Moore , Bryan Slusarchuk and Marc Stoiber . The awesome live music was provided by celloist Cris Derksen and beatboxer/MC Shamik .
