I love portrait photography

I love portrait photography very much. But, I have question which I would like to raise here. I have a small eye problem and I wear +1.5 spectacles. And due to this problem I cannot focus very much. So, does this makes a problem when taking snaps? angie's list family portrait reviews has defined all types of things regarding photography but I am not sure if this problem would really effect in my photography. So, if anyone could help me please help me out.
