In April Vancouver hosted its biannual Vancouver Fashion Week at Chapel Arts. Seasoned and emerging designers were given a chance to show from their Fall/Winter 2008 collections to an accepting audience of buyers, media, fashionistas, and photographers. Veteran Anna Sui brought in a packed house the first night with a stunning showing from her fall/winter line.
Up and coming designers 3Sixteen and Zena Fares wowed the audience with their eye catching creations. Static photographer Kris Krug was on scene helping to organize the media team and capturing his own shots at all of the runway shows. Check out his flickr page for all the photos. Kris’s photos taken at Vancouver Fashion Week were published in the Georgia Straight, and can be seen on local blogs; theconveyerbelt.com, and discollection.wordpress.com
Jamal Abdurahman, producer of Vancouver Fashion week only had positive things to say about working with Static... “Kris is very professional and it made working with him very easy. He has a great personality and is very easy going. Everyone from the models to designers enjoyed working with Kris. I would work with Kris again anytime”.
